What Are You Thankful For?

More than anything else, I am thankful that I know how absolutely blessed I am.

Because I am the only cheesy one in my family, and we probably won't go around the table and share what we are thankful for, I thought I'd mention it here.

What about you? What are you thankful for? And, are you the cheese-ball, or are you the eye-roller when the cheese-ball suggests such things?
:)
Ahhhh, family! It's such a funny thing.

blessings!!!

OoPs.

I really, really, REALLY wanted to put our tree up this weekend. But, there was a bit of a distraction in our household. Elias got his first tooth this weekend! And, it hasn't been a walk in the park! It's been strenuous work. Poor guy....

I'm still hoping to get it done before we leave for our Thanksgiving break, but there's no telling.

In other news, I'm shipping my ornament for the ornament exchange today. I am so excited for Maureen to get it!

Also, I've been getting etsy orders out the wazooo. I love seeing all of the lovely phrases and names people share with me to stamp. It's the best!

Happy New Week!

Gone and Lost Your Britches

This is a regular sight around our house these days....

Elias keeps on crawling out of his britches!

Happy Saturday!
I've added a couple of my favorite Christmas Jingles to my song list, in honor of this being tree-putting-up weekend for us!

Yay~!

Thursday Already?

It's been a chilly tea-drinking kind of week.

Hello reader-friends.
Thursday already? No, couldn't be!

I've had my big 41 order ready for a couple of days now, and I just had a shop appointment this morning with one of my busiest KC shops. Now, I can switch my focus to holiday stuff (including my party!).

On the Agenda:

Put the tree up this weekend! (Indeed, I swindled my hubby into helping me put the tree up this weekend. The truth of the matter is-- there's no other time to do it! We are heading back to our home town this Wednesday, and this is the last weekend we'll be home before my 2nd Annual Christmas Party!)

*Get photo of Elias printed for our Christmas card. I am super stoked that I got the picture taken. I'd had the image in my head for a while, I just had to capture it. It was no easy task. I'd love to show you... but you'll just have to wait!!

Make new jewelry for my Christmas Party. Nuff said.

Manage the wonderful flow of etsy orders. Yikes! My etsy shop has been booming, and it's keeping me busy!

Have Holiday Cheer. This one could be tricky...

Hope your week has been great!

super simple pumpkin pancakes

I was making Elias and I some pancakes yesterday, and I suddenly had the best idea EVER!
I decided to throw a little dash of pumpkin pie spice in my already made-mix. It was instant pumpkin-deliciousness!

I most definitely recommend it, and can't wait to try it out on my houses guests this weekend (my mom and step-dad are coming in town!).

I would love to stay and chat, but I am on the home-stretch of my big 41 order dealio. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Try those pancakes!

no clever title...

I've been super-duper busy stamping those 41 orders I got from my fundraiser (it was a total of over 100 names to stamp...). But, I wanted to share some more cute Christmas jammy pics.

Other than stamping and getting orders ready, I have been making my list and checking it twice. I am about 1/2 way done with my Christmas shopping, which means when December hits, I can focus on wrapping, baking, and Christmas jingles...

It's a cold and rainy day here in Kansas city. The "cold" part is actually good. We've had some pretty warm days lately, and that makes it difficult to get into my Christmas tunes... ;)

On a personal front I've been in search of a good "Woman's Bible." I am not sure how many extra womanly side-notes can be added to a Bible to help me feel more of a connection-- but, I thought I could give it a try. If anyone has any recommendations for a good Woman's Bible, I would be thrilled to hear from you. I am currently contemplating this one.

There are lots of other great devotional books for women from this site (Christianbook.com) like this one, and this one that I am thinking about adding to my cart...

I hope you have a nice and relaxing Sunday. Thanks for visiting!

rationalization

I rationalize a lot. For instance, after getting 41 orders at my fundraiser event, I decided to invest in the UPPER case stamping set. I am now the proud owner of all of these numbers, letters, and symbols. In my opinion, this is healthy business rationalization. "Gotta spend money to make money..."

On the other hand, is cookie rationalization...

Which says that these cookies are actually good for me-- as long as I have....

...a tall glass of milk to go with it.
(Ya know, calcium is good for a woman's bones, and all that jazz.)

Oh shucks, it's all good in moderation.
(even rationalizing!)

Happy Tuesday!

i have a calendar, thanks...

Elias... in his new Christmas jammies!
(looking a bit like his mum in this photo, i think... :)

Do you know my least favorite phrase that I am hearing
all the time these days?

Here it is, get ready:

"It's not even Thanksgiving yet."

Did I say it was?

Did I say you have to be enthralled with the holiday music, baking, decor, gift giving, and crafting, just as I am?

Did I say you really should listen to the Christmas radio station, just like I do, right after Halloween every year?

No. No. No.

I love Christmas, and I celebrate it as a religious holiday.

And, I'm in love with Christmastime!

It's a wonderful time of year to think about the people in your life, get together for food and fun, and CELEBRATE life!

You most definitely do not have to agree, or celebrate along with me (yet or at all), but please, oh please.... stop reminding me about the order of events on our calendar. I know that Thanksgiving has not yet occurred! It's a lovely holiday, too. But, there aren't many Thanksgiving songs I like to sing, really, and it doesn't pull on my heart strings quite like Christmas.

Whew. I feel better already.

Hope your week is off to a great start.

a beautiful thing...

Kayla Fujimoto was the winner of my giveaway over at WhiMSy love. And, do you know what that sweet gal did? She sent me a gift, too! I couldn't believe my eyes, when I opened the package and saw this beautiful hand sewn quiltlet. It's sooooo beautiful!

And when you "open the door," the message is superb! Also, there is a quote from Helen Keller on the back of the quiltlet which is just as beautifully written as it is inspiring.

My new quiltlet of inspiration sits proudly in my living room. Thank you SO much, Kayla~!

I hope your Sunday is great!

So Excited

I am SO excited for this weekend!

A.) The weather is going to be fabulous
B.) I'm participating in my first-ever fundraiser with my Stamped Jewelry
C.) It's my friend's birthday and we are going to celebrate with her

So, life is good!

I've been busy this week getting order forms ready for the fundraiser. I met with the lady this morning, so things are all set!

The great thing is... now I have these forms ready to go, so I can do more local fundraiser events. Here's the form for my "Twice The Fun" necklace:

I also included a sample necklace, and a sample already-filled-out-form for each style. I'm excited to hear how it goes!

Also, I should be getting my new ring in the mail any day now... Don't you just LOVE the suspense of waiting for a package to arrive?

That's why.... even though it makes me a bit crazy on some days, I like to offer next-day-shipping on my items, whenever possible. That means, you order today (I stamp it TONIGHT!), and ship it tomorrow. It makes for very happy customers. And, then everyone is happy (because I love reading THESE!).

I hope you have a great weekend in store!
